Dear Franklin Lower  School Families,

We hope this letter finds you well. At FLS, we are committed to providing the best possible education for your children. As we embark on a new marking period, we would like to share some important updates regarding changes to your child's class schedule. These changes have been carefully designed to enhance the educational experience of our students by reducing class sections and ensuring more  highly-qualified certified staff are educating our students.

The changes to the class schedule are as follows:

• Reducing Sections: Increasing class size is not something we like to do. However, with our low enrollment, this will allow us some unique benefits such as, but not limited to; Co-planning/ teaching opportunities,  and access to highly-qualified certified staff to better engage with each student, tailoring their instruction to meet specific needs.
• Certified Staff: We have made a concerted effort to allocate certified teachers to these sections. This means that your child will be learning from educators with the expertise and experience necessary to foster academic growth and success.
• Specialized Support: With these changes, we are better equipped to provide specialized support to students who may need extra assistance or enrichment opportunities. Our teachers and support staff will be working collaboratively to ensure that each student's unique learning needs are met.

We understand that changes to your child's schedule may raise questions or concerns. If you have any questions or if you would like more information about how these changes will specifically affect your child, please do not hesitate to reach out to our guidance counselors or school administrators. We are here to address your concerns and provide clarity on these adjustments.
